Getting there

New Forest ponies

By train + taxi
If you’re coming from London, Devon, Liverpool or elsewhere in the UK, the nearest train station is Brockenhurst, about 1.5 hrs from London Waterloo and a short taxi ride to Lyndhurst or Minstead.

By car
Minstead Lodge has ample on-site parking. Lyndhurst and the Lodge are accessible via the A337 from Cadnam, which links into the M27 (with onward motorway connections).

If you prefer to drive to your accommodation in Lyndhurst, or drive directly to the venue (and leave your car there overnight), we will provide a coach service to and from the venue so no one has to drive after the celebrations.

One thing to watch for: free-roaming ponies, deer, and other forest animals are common here - slow down, especially on forest roads.

Coach & taxi service on the day
We’ll be running coaches from a few hotels in Lyndhurst (see more in the Accommodation section). Pick-ups will take place late morning so we can arrive at the venue by 13:00, and return coaches will be available at the end of the night to drop you back at your hotels (more information to follow closer to the day).

If you’d rather not use the coach service, local taxis are an option, but we recommend booking in advance if you can.

Accommodation

We’ll be based in Lyndhurst for the weekend, staying at the Crown Hotel. A number of rooms have been reserved, and we’d love you to stay with us. Please book your room directly with the hotel - availability is limited, so it’s best to do so soon.

On the day, we’ll be running coaches from the Crown, departing at 12:30 for arrival at the venue by 13:00, with return coaches back to Lyndhurst around 23:30.

Local taxi services are also available, though it’s worth booking in advance.

There are plenty of lovely places to stay across the New Forest, from hotels and Airbnbs to campsites, so feel free to choose whatever suits you best.

Family Room ~£230 per night
Classic Room ~£179 per night
Snug Room ~£144 per night

Do you even know Neil if you're asking this question? 😄 Yes - alongside bubbles, beer, wine and spirits, we’ll have a selection of cocktails for our guests. Soft drinks will also be available throughout.

We don’t have a registry, celebrating our wedding with you is all we need! If you’d like to contribute towards our honeymoon though, we’d be truly grateful. Details will follow closer to the day.

Owing to venue capacity, this will be an adults-only celebration. We hope it’s a welcome evening off for those with little ones.

Yes, we’ll have an official photographer, but we’d love you to capture your own moments too. Please tag any photos with #kateandneil2026 on Instagram or share them with us on Whatsapp or email.

We’re celebrating at Minstead Lodge, part of Minstead Trust, a social enterprise supporting over 320 people with learning disabilities across Hampshire. Set in the New Forest and connected to Kate’s family roots, it’s a very special place for our day.
